New Year…We’re Ready!

We started and ended 2023 in Sydney!

2023 was another whirlwind year at The Search Project.  It feels like we say that every year but this one was pretty epic.

For us and our family, 2023 both started and ended in Sydney, how lucky are we?! What a treat it was for us to revisit our second home and it's been great to catch up with old friends and connect with some of our clients, nothing beats a face to face meeting over a flat white or a schooner! 

But it's not just Sydney we were lucky enough to visit last year, we travelled up and down the country from Edinburgh to Bristol and loved getting to know more about how the firms we partner with are transforming the way they work, bringing in innovative ways of working and challenging the way that law firms deliver to their clients. 

As always, the more we understand what the businesses we work with value, the better we can tailor our services.

2023 was not only about taking planes and trains to reach our destination, July saw us jump on our bikes to make the epic 400 mile trip from London to Paris to raise over £3,500 for Ambitious about Autism. It was a journey of physical, mental and emotional strength to make it to the finish line at the stunning Eiffel Tower and we couldn't have been prouder of ourselves! We met incredible people, saw the most beautiful scenery and got a taste for adventure.

So what's next? Nic's training for her first triathlon in May 2024 and we've signed up for the Dragon Ride in Wales in June . . . 

And when we weren’t busy travelling, we were busy making ourselves at home in our new office.  2023 saw us move into a space which really allows us to focus on growing the business and it’s been revolutionary. 

A bright and airy blank canvas to grow into and we've some exciting additions planned next year to host our new upcoming podcast (watch this space).

As always we were busy planting trees in Madagascar (not personally although we’d love to roll our sleeves up and head over there if the opportunity arose!). Every time we find someone a new role, we plant 1000 Mangrove trees, offsetting the carbon footprint of that placement for 25 years. 

We know it’s just a small gesture but one that really does add up to make a big difference.

That’s something that’s really important to us at The Search Project and something that we’ve worked towards a lot last year. Small change, big impact. We’ve really focussed on making incremental improvements to the way we work to offer a better experience for the people we work with.

Whether it’s our focus on feedback, our video interviewing or just our general commitment to doing the right thing, we’ve worked hard to be better each day.

So as we head into 2024, we’re super proud of what we achieved in 2023 but even more importantly, we’re super excited about what this year has in store.
